Maa Chandraghanta

Significance of Navratri Day 3: Lessons from Maa Chandraghanta

Navratri day 3 is celebrated by worshipping Devi Durga as Maa Chandraghanta. She signifies power with charm and is the SHAKTI behind SHIVA. My ode to the righteous one. See the mantra for worshipping her. Also, visit my reverence to Maa Shailputri and Maa Brahmacharini, who are worshipped on day 1 and day 2 of Navratri, respectively.

Adorning the half moon,
       dressed in golden attire;
you signify the "Shakti" of "Shiv",
       teach your devotees to aim higher.

Women are powerful,
        until they believe they are less;
once they identify their strengths,
        they'll race towards their success.

You characterize the win,
       of good over evil;
you remind devas live within us,
       and so does the devil.

Identifying our vices,
       replacing them with virtues;
We have infinite power to evolve,
       in whatever way we choose.

Give us power to identify,
       and improve what we can;
make our lives more worthy,
       work as per the Universe's plan.

Bless the women with strength,
        to rise against bias and judgement;
to believe in themselves to the core,
        fight with might against all torment.

Bless us! O righteous one;
       to live a meaningful life;
not whiling away our time on earth,
       instead, spend each moment being truly alive.
