When times are tough,
and the winds are strong;
the world conspires to let you down,
gives its best to prove you wrong.
Remember what a fish does,
when the strong currents deter it;
from moving along the chosen path,
draining all her energy, bit by bit.
She stops trying for some time,
and goes with the flow;
not because she has given up,
she just decided to lie low
to gain more time to think,
weigh other options that exist;
to take the current in her stride,
change the course, but still persist.
Because the roads are numerous,
to lead you to the same goal;
something that gives you a purpose,
something that soothes your soul.
Don’t be bogged down,
by situations that seem averse;
Maneuver around the obstacle,
decipher the plan of the Universe.
Find a suitable detour,
re-plan your journey, if need be;
don’t lose sight of your goal,
the goal, that for yourself, you foresee.
The goal will keep you moving,
towards something you look forward to;
so never give up chasing your goal,
your unique goals make you, YOU.

Lovely poem. The image of the fish beautifully drives home the point. The positivity and motivation that run through the lines rub on the reader.
